Boyd earned his Physical Therapy degree from the University of Puget Sound in 1980. He has spent his entire career as a Physical Therapist in the Seattle area. In addition, he has worked with the dancers for the Pacific Northwest Ballet since 1987 and traveled with the PGA tour, both of these positions as staff therapist. Boyd also worked as a consultant with the Seattle SuperSonics before their departure. He is a Certified Level IV Therapist with North American Institute of Orthopaedic Manual Therapy (NAIOMT) and is OCS (Orthopedic Clinical Specialist) certified through a division of APTA. After many years of weekends spent mountain climbing, Boyd has hung up his boots and tied on golf shoes. He also has been actively playing a weekly game of full court basketball with the same group of men for over thirty five years.
